Orthomosaics from your Mavic. On your machine.

pan-o-mavic turns the photos of a MavicMapper grid mission into a georeferenced orthomosaic. It reads every frame's GPS, gimbal and lens data, aligns the images to centimetre-level seams and stitches them along lines that avoid anything that moved. All of it runs on your own computer.

Made for everyone

No cloud. No account. No price tag.

Mapping software usually means uploading gigabytes of photos to someone else's server and paying every month to get them back. pan-o-mavic doesn't work like that.

100 % local

Every step runs on your computer's own processor. Your photos and locations never leave your machine, and it works fully offline.

Free for life

No trial, no expiry, no "pro" version waiting around the corner. Download it once and it's yours.

Fully unlocked

Every feature, every setting, full resolution, unlimited images and projects. Nothing is held back.

No subscription

No account, no login, no payment details. Nothing to renew and nothing to cancel.

For the good of all humankind. Good maps of our coasts, fields and towns shouldn't depend on a credit card. pan-o-mavic is a gift from JK4U to every pilot, photographer, researcher and curious mind with a drone.

How it works

Your mission already knows where every photo was taken.

pan-o-mavic uses that. It matches only images that actually overlap, refines every camera, builds a terrain model and stitches along clean seams.

Start

Double-click pan-o-mavic.exe. A console window opens (keep it open) and the Studio opens in your browser at http://127.0.0.1:8765. Everything runs on this computer; nothing is uploaded. Closing the console window quits the app.

Windows may show “Windows protected your PC” for a new, unsigned program: More info → Run anyway.

Command line

pan-o-mavic.exe D:\flights\mellieha_0412 -o D:\ortho\mellieha.tif
pan-o-mavic.exe --help
pan-o-mavic.exe studio --port 8800 --no-browser

--help lists all options, identical to the Studio controls.

Input

JPG, DNG (Mavic 3 Pro / Lito X1 raw, decoded natively) and 8/16-bit TIFF.

For DxO PureRAW, select the DxO output folder. Missing GPS / gimbal / exposure metadata is read from untouched originals in the same folder, parent folder or “Originals for metadata”, matched by the DJI capture key DJI_YYYYMMDDhhmmss_NNNN.

Output · next to the GeoTIFF

name.tif (GeoTIFF RGBA, UTM), name.tfw, name_dsm.tif (terrain model), name_preview.jpg, name_report.json (poses, gains, lens, settings), name_seams.npz, name_surface.npz, name_diagnostics.zip (Report → Export diagnostics, or --diagnostics).

This edition
